Tennis for All
The Access to Sports Project – Tennis for All
The Tennis for All programme aims to tackle some of the barriers preventing people from engaging in Tennis by running a mixture of free and low-cost programmes that use community spaces and our park courts in Finsbury Park.
We deliver tennis programmes directly addressing some of the social, economic, and other issues that effect London’s ‘hard to reach’ communities.
We won the 2023 LTA National Award for Connecting Communities which recognised our work promoting and delivering tennis across the boroughs of Hackney, Haringey and Islington.
“At Tennis for All we are aiming to tackle the perception that tennis is a sport for the ‘elite’. We engage with people from the local communities, no matter what their ability level or background, providing equal opportunity to learn, play and enjoy the sport. We’re delighted to work with the Morris Charitable Trust, enabling us to connect with schools and open up tennis to the community.”
