Wellbeing Walks by MahaDevi Yoga

Wellbeing walks for children with additional needs

MahaDevi’s Wellbeing Walks are regular guided nature walks with yoga to improve the wellbeing of children with additional needs and their parents.

The project fosters a deeper connection with nature, builds children’s confidence around participating in physical activities, and promotes walking and outdoor exploration as an accessible, fun and healthy activity.

Wellbeing Walks

“Our yoga and nature walks project is a hugely popular activity that attracts families from across Islington. As well as the physical benefits of walking and yoga, young people get to make friends and take part in arts and music activities where they can foster new friendships and connections. Parents get to chat over coffee and meet other families, helping overcome the isolation that can be experienced when you have a child with additional needs. We are grateful to the Morris Charitable Trust for their continued support.”
